Sinema told the Wall Street Journal, “the problem is senators’ behavior, not the chamber’s rules.”

Can't even get many GOP Senators to say things like that, these days.

The filibuster is the last thing standing between her and some career ending votes. Next time she and Manchin are on the ballot, so will be Trump in all likelihood.

Schumer got the OK from the parliamentarian to ram everything thru with 50 votes, they don't need to suspend the filibuster.

I talked to Congressman Paul Gosar (AZ-4) a couple of weeks ago about the Second Amendment and the conversation switched to Sinema after five minutes. He knows her very well and he seems to be sure that Sinema is adamant about retaining the filibuster.

Go Sexy Sinema, go!

She more than Manchin is the one to depend on with the filibuster.
But I think in the end, they stick together and refuse to undo it.

Don’t trust Sinema.

Don’t trust Manchin.

They will both vote to get rid of the filibuster.

Talk is cheap, but when it comes to trusting democrats, they will do as they are told by the ‘higher-ups’ in their party, if they know what’s good for them.

Party unity is more important to democrats than what’s good for the country.

Sinema is a nutty leftists but she has some principles an she sticks with them. She and Tulsi Gabbard are two democrats who don’t care about occasionally telling the party bosses to buzz off on occasion. With Manchin it’s all fake for show, they can count on him if they need him and they know it. With Sinema, she’s a wild card.

Democrats never learn. They are in a dead tie in the Senate, and Warnock will have to defend his seat in GA next year under the new voting laws they just passed. If they get rid of the filibuster and Warnock loses next November, say goodbye to all federal funding for Planned Parenthood in January 2023, just for starters.

Get rid of the filibuster? Bring it on.

In her Senate victory speech in 2018 Sinema name checked McStain citing his “maverick” and “independent” nature and said that it is a tradition of AZ politicians to be that way. Her supporters at the time chided her for it but she may just hold her ground. I get the impression that pressuring her will not work.

I expect her to fold like a cheap tent, however I think I would hit it.

Sinema is just holding out for a higher price, that’s all. Once her demands are met, she’ll vote with Schumer.

The reason the Democrats want to get rid of the Filibuster is because they are certain they will be in power permanently, specifically, because they’ve been able to get away unchallenged, with stealing elections for years...and that theft now includes Presidential elections.

And to think that just 15 short years ago, Sinema was a Code Pink gal who would happily tell you she was a Communist. Huh. I do not trust her.
