The U.K.'s Christian Institute noted the comments from Robin Aitken, who worked at the BBC for 25 years and published a book in 2018 accusing the broadcaster of abandoning its Christian heritage

Woke institutions either abandoning traditional Western Christian values and/or corrupting them like everything else the left touches? Say it ain’t so!
Talk about blackwashing. The main character is Asian and other major characters are black despite the era in which this is supposed to take place.
Also, the whole focus of their efforts is on countering satanism, so although they are supposedly against it, the show is reveling in satanic imagery.
It is truly a s**t show.
