As of Friday, 259,847 doses of vaccine have been administered in the province, including 192,131 first doses and 67,716 second doses.
But just how safe are you on a single dose of the vaccine?
A letter by two Canadian experts published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) earlier this year stated that with a 92.6 per cent efficacy, the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine was “highly protective.”

Dr. Joss Reimer, the medical lead of Manitoba’s vaccine implementation task force, said they based that decision on studies in British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec, the U.K. and Israel.
“All of them showed that the first doses in real-world effectiveness provided either in the 70s or 80s per cent protection,” Reimer said during a press conference Friday.
“Which in real-world numbers is highly effective. So we were very happy to see that after one dose, we would be very happy to see effectiveness in the 80s after two doses.”

“The immunity lasted for the entire length of the studies. The studies were not very long because we hadn’t had the vaccine for very long at that point, but even the longest ones being two months there was no decrease in the immune response at that two-month mark,” she said.
“We felt confident that we had a clear minimum of two months protection, a very strong likelihood a three-month protection, but we truly think it will probably last more like six months if we look at data from other vaccines and how long we see responses to them.”

I got 2nd dose of Moderna yesterday. The first dose was a breeze. This 2nd is much rougher on me.
If I knew the 1st was effective enough, I may not have gotten the second. I just don’t know enough about it.
The Empire is going to be pushing vaccines, from their friends in the pharmaceutical industry, for as long as the proletariat allows them to get away with it.
I am thinking the second dose is being given too soon.
Reality is they don’t know enough about it either. I am due for my second Pfizer shot and am really leaning towards not getting it. I think that second shot is a confirmation it is working and not really a “booster” as they claim.
I am sorry you are having it rough, hope there’s no further complications. I have a friend who had the first shot and had it rough. He is clearing his schedule for the second dose, his nurse practitioner told him he likely had Covid at some point that’s why the 1st shot was rough for him.

One of the health workers at my urologist's office told me she had both vaccines, and was sorry now that she'd taken them. She said she felt pressured by her co-workers to get it. I think more people are going to be sorry they got the vaccine, than those who will be sorry over their sex changes.

I am reasonably informed.
I personally knew 3 that have died from it (or with it). Ages 86, 60, and early 50s. There are risks getting the shots and not getting them. I know that.
I’ve been boycott for 20+ years and I am not changing that.
They claim at least 90%.
So they are forcing an untested injectable on the masses for something that is 99.7% survivable.
If I refuse, I lose my freedoms.

remember everybody. If you want to have an effective beack up to vaccine , there are many available , the most effective and least expensive is “Ziverdo Kit” Whichiis a 5 day course of a combination of Zinc, Ivermectin and Doxycycline.

Is this some kind of pathetic joke?! They are all slap happy that the “vaccine” protected for TWO MONTHS?
I felt nothing from round one.
This time I’ve had a very sore arm, slight fever, tired, etc. I’ve read that is not outside the norm and it goes away after a day or two.
How soon can I go down to the barrio and buy a card?
