I would like them to explain why, exactly, there is a category of sports called “women’s sports”.
Bingo. Exactly. Women were given their own sports teams for a reason - due to physical/biological realities. If this were not the case, there would not be separate girls/women's sports in the first place.
It's just mind boggling how stupid it is that this conversation is even taking place. Total morons are in charge of our institutions.
Exactly! Everything about college sports is discriminatory by some definition of the word. Some shmoe off the street can't play women's soccer at USC just because he made it to practice, they had to 1) actually be a women (at least until recently). 2) be a student at USC with a certain minimum grade point average and pass a drug test. 3) actually be good enough at soccer to be selected for the team.
If I couldn't play college sports because I was a stupid kid, I'd start identifying as a dean's list student. If I wasn't allowed on the team because I didn't go to the school, I'd identify as a second-semester sophomore. Why stop there though, I might as well identify as the team's leading scorer and demand my name be put on a plaque somewhere. It's not hurting anyone for me to realize my true self as a successful women's college soccer player, and denying the true me is literally violence (or something like that).
