Jonathan Mason, a youth development specialist who became close with Wright when he was a student at Edison High School in Minneapolis said he, Wright and other young black men often talked about how to handle interactions with cops.

I have no doubt. I'm sure they talked about how to avoid being arrested, escaping police in high speed chases and killing them.

I always keep both hands on the steering wheel, tell the officer ahead of time that I’m CCW-ing, tell him/her ahead where I’m reaching for documents, and make sure they’re comfortable with it. I was robbed and shot once in 1975, and I’d not survive a 2nd shooting.

He was NOT stopped for a stupid air freshener...seriously...that's what he told his mama, the fact is, he was stopped for expired tags.

I think a lot of these thugs think that the police won't chase them anymore, or shoot at them anymore. They listen to all the progressives who are trying to defund the police, and prevent them from doing their job.

But the police aren't going to just give the city over to the criminals, even if that's what the politicians and the pundits are saying.

Saw an interview of his mom saying he was stopped because of air freshener. BS but I give her the benefit of the doubt except she was riling up a crowd of “peaceful protestors.”

That may have been what he told her. He was on the phone with her. Two cops there trying to cuff him. They should have had ahold of his clothes. Be ready to introduce him to the pavement if he makes a move.
