Daunte Wright had an open warrant related to an armed-robbery case against him when he was shot dead Sunday by a cop who claimed she thought she was firing her Taser, court records show.
Wright, 20, and another man had been charged with first-degree attempted aggravated robbery in December 2019 for allegedly trying to steal $820 from a woman at gunpoint, according to Hennepin County District Court documents.

Now there was a missed opportunity if there ever was one. Duante should have been dropped right then and there. Too bad the victim wasn't carrying; she could have saved Minnesota a whole lot of property damage and prevented a whole lot of needless injuries.

Daunte was directly responsible for his own death. The fact that a cop accidentally shot him really doesn’t change the fact that this 20-year-old punk was racing towards self-destruction. And had been for sometime. He finally got what he deserved.

Complying with the police would have saved devante’s life at least for a while...he would have been out and back on the street in a short time...officer who shot and killed him accidentally just fast forwarded devante’s life...and death...
