Problem is power. The implant under the skin has a gigantic antenna compared to the chip to gather RF to power the chips. The wand has to be very close and shoot a lot of RF at the antenna.
Yes, these things are small enough to inject: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6642839/ but I have yet to hear of someone building a processor out of them.
