Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania controlled the fabric of reality.

>>“Of course, the existence of patents does not mean these technologies have actually been created . . .”

Time was you had to demonstration a working contraption. You couldn’t patent an idea.

Then again, you couldn’t trademark a real person or literary character either and all written and recorded works used to eventually lapse into the public domain.

The law is a ass.

-- Can an aspiration be patented? --

I think the article is referring to patent applications, which are not necessarily workable.

Patent examimers are supposed to weed out things like perpetual motion, and the patent statutes require the applicant to disclose the best way he knows how to practice the invention. No requirement for a model.

Reality doesn’t have a fabric. Metaphors can be taken any way anybody wants to take them, so they have no meaning.

Designing something on paper doesn’t guarantee that it exists or can be built. It’s very easy to obfuscate and mislead the reader with wild claims.

“our guys are bragging about some super secret technology. Laughable.”

I remember from history that Hitler bragged about “super weapons” that would win the war for them. It mislead some Germans till almost the end!

Maybe these UFOs are just future Navy pilots buzzing their former selves for a prank.

The fabric of reality was totally changed when an imbicile was able to steal the presidency from the greatest POTUS ever. The fabric of reality is that America prefers a vacuous presidency over a MAGA policy.

U.S. Navy controls inventions that claim to change "fabric of reality"

"The Tholian Web" (episode of the original Star Trek series where the USS Enterprise has entered a quadrant where the very fabric of space is breaking up):

SCOTT: Oh, well, any decent brand of Scotch will do that.

Regards,

U.S. Army Mess Halls have been doing this for decades.

That was certainly my experience with them in the late 60s.

You are not required to actually build the invention for which you are seeking a patent, so you do not need to prove that it actually works.

About 40 years ago the patent office issued two patents for magnetic motors and they had working models of both. They claimed at least that they worked well enough to issue patents, wonder what happened to them? One linear and one rotational. Made the front cover of Popular Mechanics.

Is this a true statement? Can an aspiration be patented?

.........................................................

But I always heard that, “It’s the thought that counts”. Such as, “Socialist utopia”.

The Navy could change the fabric of military reality from camouflage to a nice floral pattern.

.........................................................

Sadly, perversion, is now order of the day in all branches.

These faux miracles will likely be broadcast worldwide. Someone will come on the scene, folks, and word Will spread about this miracle man, this healer, and the masses,, hungry for miracles, will flock to him . Probably- something like that anyways likely.

.............................................................

We are being prepared for it, as I type.

Our Congress busy at work squeezing money for favors out of never ending copyright holders. This was adjuducated by the Supreme Court and was decided wrongly in favor of permanent copyright by congress in spite of what the Constitution says.

My idea was an unmanned sub super gas bubble generator to sink war ships

..............................................

You better hurry on down to the patent office with that idea, before somebody steals it.

Not me though, I’d never stoop to anything like that.

There are numerous patents for perpetual motoin machines.

A patent might mean there’s something there it could also mean one fooled the patent examiner ! I’ve seen it done !
