There is something like Clean House Syndrome where as super clean (sanitized) homes prevented kids from building up immunities to many pathogens. Can lead also to allergies and asthma.

This the reason antibiotic soaps were outlawed earlier this century. The overuse of antibiotics was causing more serious bacterial infections to be common.

There is no problem or emergency when a kid ingest some dirt in the course of the day.

I have not been doing anything different to surfaces throughout the pandemic. I wipe the kitchen counter and stove each day after supper (not with bleach) and don’t set grocery bags on the food prep area.
I’m still alive to post this.
