No. I think it’s security theater.
The most recent studies show that 99% of the infections come cia airborne ingestion (duh) and not from surface contact. (Unless someone gets snot on their hands, opens a door, then you touch the door handle and then you touch your eyes! But the virus dies off quickly on the surface - if it’s dry you’re ok)
So, as was always true, wearing a mask will help if someone sneezes or talks in your face. But if you walk into a house or building that’s saturated with it - it’s not going to do anything.
Which is why the lockdowns were STUPID because you now have entire households that will get it because everyone’s in the same enclosed area 24-7. Worse in India which has multi family homes!
