Trump was president when this happened.
As Chief Executive Officer of the FBI, Trump could have released every document related to the shooting, any time he wanted to.
Trump could have ordered the FBI leadership to testify before Congress.
Instead, for four years, almost every FOIA request received by the Trump Administration was completely ignored or challenged in court, and Trump never raised a finger to help.
Incomprehensible.
Trump’s biggest failure as a president was — incomprehensibly witnessing him throughout the years — his timidity to take real action. He turned to Twitter rather than fire Wray, Rosenstein, and Sessions. He ranted, instead of dismantling and rebuilding the FBI. He talked, rather than release documents showing the corruption of the Deep State. It was a wasted opportunity for real change.
His timidity is puzzling, given his history. It certainly wasn’t to fend off impeachment — which happened without his forceful actions. And if the Republicans took the step to actually remove him after he took these steps, at least it would have been done before they did. It would have been his greatest legacy, and the downfall of the leftist-infested GOP.
It’s a shame that what could have been done wasn’t, and again, it was truly his greatest failure, a stain on his otherwise inspiring presidency.
And the KGB... I mean FBI... would have gotten right on that.
