It used to be in this country, everyone charged was entitled to legal representation. Something many if us took for granted. We are entering a dangerous phase in our decline. I miss Nat Hentoff.

Even during the Nuremberg trials, the defendants were given lawyers and a chance to defend themselves. Now we are descending into show trials ala Roland Freisler. We are for sure in a dangerous decline.
