Anyone elese notice the people at the oscars were for the most part mostly costume directors, script writers, set designers etc. Never saw so many ugly and fat people at an oscars ceremony
The same is going to happen to professional sports.
The USA is no longer a country with borders and unique culture. It has become a Balkanized empire of competing groups who feed at the trough of government largess. There is little that unites us as a people.

The last several years I would tune in only to watch the awards for Best Actor, Actress, and Best Picture. This year I didn’t even do that. I haven’t even seen one single movie which was up for Best Picture. Hollywood is circling the drain.
I could not tell you one thing about who won what, except for the Anthony Hopkins surprise. America has quit caring.

They don’t care about US box office receipts anymore. For the past couple of decades their priority had been foreign releases and web streaming which pushed out DVDs.

I stopped watching oscars, academy awards etc in early 70’s. No interest in any of it.
