Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the Moon. Buzz was the Luner Module pilot, and had to deal with the infamous "1201 alarm" from the privative flight control computer. And of course, Neil Armstrong famously took the first steps on the Moon and bungled his carefully rehearsed first words from the surface of the Moon: "That's one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for Mankind." Neil forgot the (a).
Michael Collins was the Command Module pilot, and remained in orbit around the Moon for the entire time that Armstrong and Aldrin made history.
