hard to tell a dementia patient from a coked up homeless lady. one is harmless. the other, potentially, is not.
where were this lady’s care givers?
Did you missed the point that they relished what they did, joked about it, and clearly had the mindset that they probably would commit the same crime’s again without hesitation. They should be charged, convicted, and jail.
They didn’t need to break her elbow or laugh about it.
I wondered the same thing. Perhaps she outlived all her close relatives and was living alone. However, family members sued on her behalf.

Really? And you’re ok with them not getting her medical care for hours after they dislocated her shoulder? Do you think that would be OK to do to a coke addict? Let me assure you, it is NOT OK.
From my perspective a drug up homeless person generally looks homeless. This elderly woman, her clothing, lack of personal possessions, she appeared clean etc, just didn't appear like a typical homeless type. I've been around homeless drug and mental cases, with whites, their skin is often so filthy it appears dark brown. In addition to the fact she repeatedly said, "I'm going home" and it seems that's where she was going. She just didn't fit the mold of a drugged out homeless person from my perspective.
Looking for their mother? My mother had dementia and she would just take off. Nursing homes have the same problem to. The LEO’s were out of line.
Nice attempt to divert, but this scumbag will end up going to prison. Quoting Officer Austin Hopp =>
“Did you hear the pop?” Hopp asks Jalali, then describing the scene. “I was pushing, pushing, pushing. I hear ‘pop.’ I was like, ‘Oh no. That’s going to turn into something.’
Snakes should slither back under their rock and shake their rattles then find something they know something about to talk or write about.
These cops are just more thugs and I hope the woman gets a bucket of money to finish up her life in some comfort.

In what universe? I have worked with both, and judging by your statement, I doubt you have experience with either..
Maybe I’m alone here, but I wouldn’t like cops to beat up a 73 year homeless woman and laughing about it either.
A 73 yr old 80 lb. coked up homeless lady might be dangerous to you.
Someone with dementia might be dangerous for you to argue with too.

If it’s that hard to figure out, three against one confused old lady, then these people don’t belong on the job. They could have easily rounded her up and put her in a squad car without beating her up or taken her back into the store to question and try to find her caregivers.
And I’ll go ahead and say it - it Derek Chauvin and his posse had just put George Floyd in the damn car instead of grandstanding in front of the whole world, a hell of a lot of crap could have been avoided.
They even pull this crap with video being recorded. No wonder there is so much distrust and fear. It ramps up emotions and more cops get killed. It seems to be out of control, on both sides, the people who get pulled over or confronted as well as the cops. They’re all jumpy as hell and things escalate very fast. Like the cop panicking and pulling her gun instead of her Tazer. Are candidates for these jobs being vetted properly? Loose cannons are creating a lot of problems.
Okay, flame away.
Blame everybody but the jack booted thugs.
No actually it isn't hard at all.
JB

Psychosis
Lots of under 30s camping to save cash for dope
Leftist towns enable it ....those of us around it pay for it
Even caregivers have to take a crap once a day and sometimes go to the store.
And dementia doesn’t hit all at once. There are good days and bad days. Sometimes they are normal for days at a time then it hits out of nowhere.
Very easy for a person to slip away. Especially if they are in otherwise good health.
