The Rochester Public Schools board voted unanimously Tuesday evening to make several phrases and images, including "Black Lives Matter," government speech, meaning the school can't be held liable for allowing those views while not allowing opposing views.

"So here with adopting the messages that you're adopting as government speech, you're saying these are the messages that we're communicating as a school district and by doing that we're not also creating a forum to allow other types of speech to enter the forum," John Edison, the RPS board attorney said.

That’s completely unconstitutional.

It’s another made up term like “hate speech”

Government speech sort of like fascism?

Did you ever wonder how Hitler was able to get good German people to commit such atrocities against the Jews? Well, it was very easy. He merely picked those like the members of the Rochester School Board. Anyone of them would have opened the gas valves. Surprise, surprise, surprise!

It’s the same as newspeak from the book 1984.

Two things wrong with this.

First, the entire concept of "government speech" - whatever the {censored} that is as being somehow different or more protected or whatever than any other speech or expression. No, you don't get to set yourselves apart.

Two, the characterization of anything related to blm as anything other than a domestic terrorist organization is wrong. blm, antifa, and their ilk are domestic terror groups, period.

I've never heard such a bunch of gobble-de-gook in my life.

“The Rochester Public Schools board voted unanimously Tuesday evening to make several phrases and images, including “Black Lives Matter,” government speech, meaning the school can’t be held liable for allowing those views while not allowing opposing views. “

The tyranny of government has moved into tyranny of school boards and teachers unions.

I used to think that “There’s the Twin Cities area, and there’s the rest of Minnesota.” No more. There’s this in Rochester, and even Lutheran churches in small towns flying the abomination rainbow flag - the whole state has gone down the woke toilet.

It’s been there a long time. People choose not to see it. The American public is in love with the government school system, even though it gets worse every day.

Parents, why are your kids still in these schools? Why do you pretend that your local schools are fine?
