Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney has penned a slashing op-ed where she lays out a stark choice for her party between Donald Trump's crusade to 'delegitimize' Joe Biden's election and her own and fidelity to the U.S. Constitution.
Cheney issued the withering attack on elements of her own party as she prepares to confront difficult odds to maintain her elected leadership post.
Trump and Trump loyalist in Congress are already coming out against her, and Trump backer Elise Stefanik is already launching a campaign to replace her.
But Cheney, the daughter of the former vice president, cast the battle as one far bigger than her own political career.
'The Republican Party is at a turning point, and Republicans must decide whether we are going to choose truth and fidelity to the Constitution,' she wrote in the Washington Post Wednesday.

When Liz Cheney says: “Trump’s ‘crusade to undermine democracy” she is playing 100% by the Dims playbook with that line.
Trump is not, and is not seeking to, undermine Democracy, but the Dims (and with Liz Cheney’s help) are doing all they can to undermine the democratic norms of our Republic.
PEOPLE WHO UNDERMINE DEMOCRACY enjoy watching their opponents killed. That’s how far they’ll go. Did Trump? He took them on on their terms, the legal ones. Now OUR people want to do him in. Wyoming has to force her out BEFORE the August 2022 primary.

Liz is lining up a run for president.
But has she considered how she will out-Biden Biden; or out-Kamala Kamala?
That is the direction she is headed. Maybe she could gain some liberal votes by issuing a strong statement condemning her father.

Should have gotten her out of the leadership post two months ago when Matt Gaetz proposed it. In return for being kept on, she has done all she can to backstab the party base and undercut its positions. I really doubt she has any ties to Wyoming other than her draft dodging old man who once held her seat; she seems like a typical overprivileged brat of the Washington Beltway and would fit in quite well with the Bush family and I’m sure she did.

This is why they can’t allow Arizona and other states to show voter fraud. It would undermine her entire argument.
