Whatever the reason for businesses to require masking of their employees, whether it’s virtue-signaling, fear of liability, or something else, I think there are quite a few people who would be willing to work if they didn’t have to wear useless and uncomfortable masks.

The problem is the expanded unemployment benefits. There is a disincentive to go back to work for people making $9-14/hour. In most states(except MT now)you can make as much if not more staying home than you can at an entry level job.

Here in NH there are help wanted sign everywhere.
All of the sawmills I talk to and anyone involved in the home construction industry is looking to hire.
Some occupations like diesel mechanics, truck drivers and other skilled labor are getting offered signing bonuses of $5k-$10K.

My son works at a major Pharma company. They have had a position in his department open since September starting @ $60K.
