Would this push spending proposals up to $8 trillion now?

If so, why stop at $2 trillion. Why don’t we spend $20 trillion on it and go world class?

I would agree.

They want shortages, high prices, and flames. There is absolutely nothing I put past those scum.

Nothing.

"Buttigieg added, “That’s true when we think about roads and bridges, obviously. It’s a safety issue if they’re not in good shape. But it’s also true as we’re confronting threats of the future ranging from climate security to cybersecurity. It’s one of the reasons why there is such a robust amount of funding for resilience built into the President’s American Jobs Plan, an awareness that we need to be preparing and building for the future.”"

So the next logical question is: what specifically is in this infrastructure bill to address what just happened to the Colonial pipeline? Please point out the exact section.

Hey Pete!

You need to define Cybersecurity threats as "Infrastructure" and then prosecute accordingly.

Otherwise, you're just lying.

Remember who is behind it all. The Prince of Lies. Lucifer/Satan.

Those people are his minions.

... or perhaps this wasn’t a hack at all - but an override from higher up.

[tin foil hat on]

there were some (even dems) who were hesitant about that so-called infrastructure bill. wonder which districts they represent and does that pipeline run right through them?

[tin foil hat off]

just my $0.02 - worth of unleaded premium.

Does anybody actually believe this story about the pipeline hack?

It is such a complete nonsense that it doesn’t even begin to pass the laugh test

And now of course we see what the agenda is

The left wants to put their next raid on the treasury knowing that their time is limited before the Arizona audit results and this election is over turned

So let’s cut off the gasoline on the East Coast and have all the people on the East Coast clamor for a “infrastructure” bill

If Terrorists blew up the pipeline and it was a big fire OK that’s believable

But Russian cyber hackers shut down the pipeline for what a week now come on nobody’s buying that story

I have not looked into the techie details on how the hack was done. However, I will speculate based on how most hacks of this sort have been done in the past: Some Ahole in management went along with another Ahole in IT and said that it was OK that the equipment controls could be hooked up to the internet. Any outfit that does not require an airgap between controls and ANYTHING ON THE OUTSIDE should be shot. Airgaps mean that either someone dug down to the line of cable controls (which ain’t easy and is visible) or someone on the inside is a traitor.

Instead of just glossing it over, Buttplug needs to explain EXACTLY what globull warming has to do with infrastructure.

VP Heels-up is doing the same thing.

The problem is that Democrats are not competent.

All they have to do is provide a tax credit for specific investments, equal to the cost.

And let the private sector handling the actual “building” of whatever is required.

The government could also help by developing very detailed specifications on what “hardened” infrastructure is. And force all public companies to comply, through regular audit and real penalty.

But Democrats don’t think this way. They will “fix” this problem by simply spending two trillion dollars indiscriminately, or directed to kickback rich “projects”.

And when they’re done not only will the objective not be achieved, they will make it worse.

$500bil in tax credits would get the job done. And that’s ALL private critical infrastructure.

But it only accelerates what enterprise was going to do anyway.
