I lived in Baltimore City 2009-1017. In a completely mixed-race area. The shootings are LARGELY related to the drug business; it makes the local news when a “civilian” gets shot (oftentimes by a stray bullet). I love the general population in Baltimore; down-to-earth, friendly, quirky, accepting, tolerant. It’s sad to see such a failed educational system and its repercussions over generations. There is plenty of blame to go around, and no easy, pat solution.
