Libertarian bestselling author Robert Ringer predicted in the 1970s, to great ridicule: 1) we are not going to run out of fossil fuels by the year 2000. 2) as soon as wholesale price for gas went up $1 there would suddenly be no more crisis. Both happened.
Also said someday soon (late 1970s) banks would start to pay interest on checking accounts for using your money.
