I have a BMW like the one in the picture, and I have never seen a charge station like that one, with a diesel generator.
I drove it 2200 miles about a week ago, through the areas affected by the pipeline.
For long trips, it has a built in generator. A BMW motor cycle engine to run a generator, and a two gallon gas tank. So it charges by using gas, when you want it to.
So that car, it would have been affected by this pipeline going down. I would have been stuck in gas lines too.
Its a great car for its purpose, daily utility. Groceries, picking up the kids at school. It goes about 100 miles on two bucks of electricity.
