You see, the media likely dares not accept the definition of conservative.
1) Drain the Swamp
2) Build the Wall
3) America First In All Things
4) Pro Life
5) Pro Guns
The most difficult part of all of that is #1. GOP members of Congress who have been there over 10 years are the Swamp, and that’s going to be very hard to deal with.
Journalists who have lived in Washington for over 10 yrs are the Swamp.
But in general, #1 is #1 and #2 is #2. They are higher on the list than #4. You can’t dodge 1 and 2 by waving #4 over your head. This is what conservative means.

And, as an aside, none of the critics of Liz Cheney's (humiliating and politically catastrophic) fall from grace ever seems to mention the will of US GOP VOTERS who, as I understand, comprise the Republican Party.
