Congresscritters should receive no more police protection than the average citizen. If they want security, they are free to hire private security at their own expense. This includes Pelosi, McCarthy, Schumer, and McConnell.
They are representatives of the people, not overlords. The job is completely voluntary. If it is perceived as dangerous, they should take into account the risk factors before they run for office.
