Let's see how long the black community glorifies their criminals IF THEY HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR OWN POLICE PROTECTION....
It's hard to express how many positive incentives would naturally be a part of a plan like this... Crime would drop like a lead balloon if the 'black community' had to pay for their own protection..
‘Charter police’ like charter schools is an answer ... WE all pay for police service with our taxes now - so giving citizens a ‘credit’ to buy our own police protection is an easy switch.
This is an excellent and logical suggestion.
Your suggestions for the black communities will probably not
fly.
They will want the premium service and not pay for it.
Will the private force have statistics showing detainment and/or arrests of equal numbers of Asian and Pacific Islanders, Inuit (formerly Eskimos), Latinx, blacks and caucasians and others?
If not and a certain person of color emerges as a frequent arrestee group then that’s racisssss.
Rural Metro Corp has been providing subscription fire/EMT/Paramedic and I think ambulance services for decades now.
No reason in the world why there shouldn’t be private police organizations as well. Of course, they wouldn’t provide all the non-police “services” that city cops do, many of which are just time wasting make work jobs. Instead, they would do the things that police are *supposed* to do.
A day and night watch. Area security. Quick response while waiting for police/fire/EMT to show up. All agreed to ahead of time.
It’s easy to glorify your criminals when it’s NOT on your dime... I’m guessing hiring police - or social workers - in the black community might costs more... Their ‘charter’ money - their ‘charter’ choice...
But that’s the market system... and it would lead to a change in attitude toward violent thugs. Which would lead to lower violent crime rates.
We could move on this as a balance to the ‘de-fund the police’ a vile marxist move to confiscate large chunks of city budgets

I'm saying we run police protection with the same money only the 'control' of that money is returned to citizens. Taken FROM corrupt big city democrat mayors... returned to citizens.
Each person gets a 'credit' to buy police service. They can go with the city police or they can buy from an independent contractor.
Over 80% of modern large city police budgets are used policing the black community. Now people in the black community can buy their own police protection - or go with the city's... but either way each group pays their own 'price' for premium care or substandard care...
Charger schools give the parents a chit - they can spend their 'share' of education taxes at a private school or a public school..
This would be the same. If the black community - or the Marxist community - wanted to hire 'social workers' they could. Their money - their choice.

We don't pay the same water bills... the city doesn't 'average out' the cost of water between people who leave their water hoses running all night - and people who are careful with water. Why should we do it with police pricing? Buy a service that's right for YOUR family... and pay for it with your tax share...
Ain’t gonna happen...Your “tax” dollars are going to go the same they have always gone...The police will be defunded and your “tax” dollars that did pay for them will just go somewhere else with the city...

Great argument now in California as most of the state is on water rationing with big price tiers if you use more water.
South Africa is about 30 years ahead of this in this regard. It’s coming here in a generation.

this reminds me, tho, of refusal of early cities to adopt the concept of a city-wide fire department. Which resulted in independent fire crews showing up, and at times getting into fistfights over who would fight the fire, as the fire burned the buildings to the ground behind them.
But the burning question in everyone’s mind is, what percentage reduction on property taxes do homeowners get for failure of the county/city to provide law enforcement, an inalienable right of home owners and taxpayers as part of that whole ‘pursuit of happiness’ thingy.
