fascists? Wasn't Mussolini the first fascist? He was a loyal member of Italy's socialist party, even becoming the editor of their newspaper, until he had a disagreement with the party about whether Italy should remain neutral in World War I or join the allies to take ethnically Italian areas of Austria-Hungary. He didn't disagree about economics.
