This is not to blame the victim, but years ago I stopped making gestures or yelling at jerk drivers. People are wound way too tight these days and you never know how they'll react.

I remember years ago hubby getting into some back and forth with some other driver in, like THE BRONX, or someplace like that. I was terrified and told him to stop it. He said: what are you worried about? And I said: if they shoot at us I’m the closest to their car.
I also chose (on hubby’s advice to be fair) not to put a pro-Israel bumper sticker on my car. I have a dreadful commute in NJ, out there with all the tractor trailers, over size loads, and just crazy Jersey drivers. I realized all it would take would be one sudden onset jihad syndrome and I could be obliterated. I decided it was not right to put myself in any greater physical jeopardy that I was already in driving 90 miles a day on that route.
