Beware of Child Protective Services if you love your kids: If your child is struggling with mental health issues and the word “gender” comes up, you may lose your child to the system

I have never been entangled with Child Protective Services (“CPS”), so what I’m about to say is not driven by personal animus: While there are many good social workers, there are enough toxic ones to make CPS a monster that shies away from children in truly dangerous circumstances (because they’re also dangerous for the social worker) while giving CPS god-like power over loving families. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the new world of gender madness that’s overtaken leftism (and most social workers are Democrats).

Over the years, I’ve collected numerous stories of social workers run amok, especially because wily children have learned from their peers that they can hold their parents hostage by threatening to report the parents to CPS.

There was the mother who had CPS in her life for three years, monitoring every aspect of her parenting, because her daughter (who adored and adores her mom) had night terrors that caused her to wake up screaming.

There was the single Black woman who spanked her 10-year-old son for an act of minor vandalism because she didn’t want him to grow up committing major acts of vandalism. Encouraged by his friends, he reported her to CPS. Even when he admitted that his mother hadn’t hurt him and loved him, CPS dogged her for years.

There was the woman who lost her child to CPS because she left the baby sleeping in the car within her sight while she stepped out to get a newspaper from a stand.

And then there was my friend whose nephew was in the care of a drug-addicted mother who took him to bars with her. In that case, CPS didn’t do a darn thing.

Knowing these people, you can understand why Abigail Shrier’s article, “When the State Comes for Your Kids,” resonated with me.

For those who don't know, Abigail Shrier is well-known because she has done yeoman’s work exposing how the transgender cult is putting enormous pressure on girls and on autistic children of both sexes to believe that, if they “change their gender,” the anxiety of puberty and autism will magically be resolved.

In the article, Shrier exposes the fact that CPS is often on board with this pressure and that some states make it very easy for children to get sucked out of the home and into the transgender system. When children with mental health issues – anxiety, depression, eating disorders, autism spectrum issues – come into their orbit, if the word “gender” comes up, social workers will make every effort to push the children into the system and toward “gender” treatment. This doesn’t mean talk therapy. It means that young teens, without parental guidance, can start taking dangerous hormones and even have surgery.

You also need to be prepared to move on a moments notice.

I have a friend who’s kid has some issues. They picked up and left for Israel when they got wind CPS might come visit bc of some lies the kid was telling a counselor.

Didn’t “flee” bc they hadn’t been cited, just left.

Pls also know that if your child is recommended for inpatient care, there is no immediate 2nd opinion permitted.

11 yo grandson evaluated, inpatient recommended, CPS notified when declined.
Took child to childrens hospital for evaluation... they said “NO” INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT ..CPS still involved.

Pls pray for this family.

Good article. The overreach of CPS is staggering. There are even some Freepers who back Tucker Carlson’s crusade to sic CPS on parents making health decisions for their own children re masking.

objective sex = biological sex (cannot be changed)

subjective gender = specification of the criterion of masculine or feminine traits applied to the behavior of the person. (can be changed)

When I was separated for years, my kids were young, I’d have them every weekend. My youngest loved to throw major temper tantrums, and she’d get spanked with a spoon. The ex was in counseling for a plane crash she witnessed way up north and everyone died, and while doing that, mentioned she didn’t like that I spanked them sometimes. The counselor asked if she reported it, and she said no, she was just venting. He took upon himself to report it, then I find out that without anyone’s knowledge they took my kids out of school, youngest was in daycare, not even kindergarten yet, and they interviewed them. My son was so scared he would of said anything. Then when I came to pick them up, my first warning something was going on when some lady was at the ex’s place and wanted to talk.

I sat down and she explained that spanking isn’t illegal, but I’m only allowed to use a hand, but they recommend no spanking. I’m not saying anything at this point. Then she said that she can see the kids have parents that love them and she’s not recommending action, but now that I’m in the system, if they ever get a call again, they’ll just take them, no questions asked. Now is when I talked. I’m a big infantry type, and they had to know this. At any rate, I said ok, do I need to supply body bags or do they bring their own? She looked at me, but I was deadpan serious. If anyone ever tries to take my kids, they will be going to meet Jesus. I know what happens in those foster homes (I know a few are ok, my friend’s wife runs one, but it’s rare) and the horror stories, not to mention what idiots would take kids away from a loving father. It’s crazy.

She just looked at me speechless and said oh no, it actually wasn’t officially in the system yet and she didn’t see a reason for it, and I never heard from them again.

Me own brother’s baby daughter (then 13 y.o. she’s now grown, educated and a P.E., and is grateful for her parent’s love) lied to a “counseler” when she didn’t get her way (her parents were too strict for her wilding ways). Four years of the “system” bankrupted my brother due to hiring lawyers/court/therapy for the parents/private boarding school/etc.

Don’t get me started on CPS.

I’d read the suggested book but I know it’d make my blood boil. As a homeschooled child, I had an encounter with a CPS worker. Would have had more, if not for parents who knew how to push buttons, pull levers and call the private numbers of influential people. This was, by design, not obvious to the CPS biddy.
Among the lessons derived from the experience: “presumed innocent” does not apply to anyone in the crosshairs of CPS.
We heard that verbatim from a friend who’s a judge. Probably the one who called off the dogs.
And homeschooling is legal in my state. Strictly controlled and discouraged (thus the CPS), but legal.
Some ten years on, I now know lots of people who are constantly observed by CPS. There are no limits except when CPS lacks sufficient manpower. If they have someone available to hassle you...why not?

Correcting myself: the suggested article, though Lord knows there’s enough out there for a book.
I could recount some horror stories I’ve heard, but it’s a nice day in June.

“Fortunately, Ahmed talked to a lawyer and a psychiatrist before engaging with the people controlling his son and was able to get his son out of the hospital, at which point the family literally fled the state.”

This would be my best advice too. Fleeing the state may seem extreme, but in hindsight it might appear the least expensive option.

Rule #1: Spank your kids when they’re being a brat.
Rule #2: NEVER let the ‘Mental Health System’ get anywhere near your kids - make them deal with their problem, or help them deal with their problems.
Rule #3: Never let the public schools near your kids, and be careful with private schools too...as they will violate Rule #2 without even telling you.

...and good luck. While many of you may hate RINOs, it is the DEMOCRATS who are after your kids, and don’t forget that.

I’m surprised that more CPS workers don’t end up dead.

In Indiana CPS is real good at going after strict, homeschooling Christian families, but very loose on becoming involved with the families dealing with sexual/physical abuse or alcohol/drug use, especially if they are Black mothers and their boyfriends. It is not uncommon for children to die because of CPS incompetence.

I have had co-workers who dealt with CPS and it was a nightmare. This co-worker and her mom had babysat a friends baby one afternoon to help her friend out who needed to do something. A week later the baby shows up at the ER with a broken arm and the hospital calls CPS and they start interviewing the babies mom and sperm donor.

Sperm donor a minority, known drug user/dealer says he’s innocent even though he is the one who all the evidence pointed to as being the abuser. He was with the child sitting him and next thing, the arm is broke. CPS gets involved and goes to the poor co-worker and her mom and says testify against the white mom that she was abusive in your presence or we will take your children! My co-worker refused to lie for CPS but was a basket case at this point. They came in on her and started investigating her, her mom and her home. I told her to contact an attorney and let them deal with CPS’s BS.

Long story short, CPS after two weeks of torment, threats and incompetence gave the injured child to a relative of his mother and left the co-worker alone finally and that destroyed their friendship even though the co-worker and her mom refused to roll on her friend. She said I can’t afford to take the chance of being in contact with my friend because of the CPS aholes. Sperm donor was shot to death sitting on the porch of their apartment about six months later in a rare drive by in our small town.

I have several police officers who are friends and they hold CPS is a very low regard.

I wonder how many homosexual pedophiles have sought employment at CPS in anticipation of new meat.
