The top two Senate Democrats on Friday called for multiple investigations into the Department of Justice's (DOJ) decisions in 2017 and 2018 to issue subpoenas seeking metadata records of House Intelligence Committee members as the Trump administration pursued leak investigations.
Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (N.Y.) and Judiciary Committee Chair Dick Durbin (Ill.) also called for two of former President Trump’s attorneys general, William Barr and Jeff Sessions, to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

I am hoping neither Barr or Sessions takes this as a timely opportunity to smear Trump as revenge for how they were openly slammed by the president while in office.
I can see Barr doing this, wanting to ‘have the last laugh’.
Put that swamp ba$tard Barr under oath. I won’t be holding my breath, waiting for any Uniparty (R) senator to ask him pertinent questions about his leading role in perpetrating the coup though.
In the Dem-Ruled political world of today, NOTHING the Biden’s do against the law seems to matter.
I don’t know if the GOP have no influence on forcing a prosecution or if the majority just don’t have the fight in them to push the issue. Most GOP seem content to exist as a
BETA in the dark shadows of the Dems ALPHA. McConnell would say “It’s always been that way, with a few rare exceptions.”

There are quite a few people who would like to get the “last laugh“ on Trump after his publicly slamming them. Publicly slamming people is one of Trump’s not so desirable traits. The Democrats will happily provide the opportunity for people to get back at Trump.
You must still think of the republican party as the stupid party. Stupid people can become informed and not act so stupid. Unfortunately the Republican Party is also the complicit party. Once you accept that, you will not be looking for them to do anything to help MAGA.
