I don’t think so. Back when you went the radical Leftism wasn’t accepted the way it is today. The corporate world wasn’t filled with radical leftist hypocrite executives, who derided capitalism, but were more than happy to take home that executive salary while living in the affluent WHITE, inner city hipster enclaves.
Today these kids are rewarded for being woke.
I could tell you stories of leftists in action back then that would blow your mind...riots...shouting down speakers...trying to censor speech on campus...while the professors stuck their heads in the sand.
But—you are correct that once I left “education”-land the leftists were left behind—but that was not until after I had my trial by fire.
Now folks in the heartland are learning the same lessons the hard way.
