The European Parliament has formally set a goal to make the entire European Union carbon neutral by 2050.
Members of the European Parliament passed the Climate Act on Thursday in a vote of 442 for, 203 against, and 51 abstentions. The Act also increased the EU’s goal to reduce carbon emissions from 44 per cent of 1990 levels to 55 per cent by 2030.
Swedish Social Democrat MEP Jytte Guteland said, according to SVT: “It’s a real boost compared to today’s level. I see that it will only play a bigger and bigger role for Europe and the world.”
Swedish MEP Emma Wiesner, a member of the Centre Party, said that she was concerned that the package did not go far enough.

Interesting observation.
We had some cooling last week here in NEPA. Overnight lows in the mid-40s. There is no warming; there is no real cooling either; just phony prognostication in the name of de-growth and imposition of draconian global taxes.
The interior of my home and autos are already “climate neutral”. I accomplish this by blasting my a.c. in hot weather and heaters in cold weather.

In the first half of 2019, our weather in in the Los Angeles
region was ten to fifteen degrees cooler than our average.
Not even a single mention of that related to global warming.
Then in the Summer, when it got hot, they played it up for
all it was worth.
They should just ship all their jobs and industry to China to solve solve their carbon problem.
They higher energy prices will make them non-competitive anyway.
Earlier today I read another thread on FR, which talked about California’s carbon-neutral policy. Do you think any EU bureaucrats know how that is working out?
All carbon usage will be outsourced to China.
None of them can name one environmental goal they’ve made yet. They are getting smarter and moving them out further now.

D.O. you are absolutly right. Not the EU or anyone else on earth is going to change the climate over all. It has been happening naturally from the start.
