BREAKING NEWS Coronavirus in Israel: 507 new cases, highest since March

Some 507 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Israel on Monday, the highest number of cases in a day in recent months, according to a Tuesday morning update by the Health Ministry.
Of those infected, 35 were in serious condition, with 24 new patients in serious condition in the past week, of whom 14 were vaccinated. The death toll stood at 6,429.

Covid-19 is endemic so we will just have to learn to live with it. That said, vaccines are working as expected but nothing is 100%.

Questions for those in Israel infected by the Delta Variant, Vaccinated or Unvaccinated:
1. Are the hospitals in Israel being burdened and filled to capacity?
2. How severe are the majority of the Delta variant infections?
3. Of the infected, how many percent have died?
Sweden's economy tanked 8% in the second quarter last year, same as ours. They didn't lock down, the people just stayed home. Their economic performance was the worst in Scandinavia. Their death rate was the worst too, ten times higher than Norway.
The bottom line is the people will self-quarantine when they think they need to and the economy will be in shambles. The virus will kill 0.2% of the population when uncontrolled. Norway and Finland did better, but to some extent they copied Sweden and eschewed lockdowns. All those countries will have healthier kids in the long run by leaving them alone.

The NEJM article clearly states that the "majority" of the pregenancies are ongoing. Out of the resolved pregnancies there are a max of 31% abortion, either spontaneous or induced.

The government of Israel is reporting 33 patients in serious or critical condition out of a population of over 9 million. If the hospitals are overrun with 33 patients, they need bigger hospitals.

2,868 of the 2,901 current COVID-19 infections are listed as mild. That’s 99% of them. Add to that however many undetected asymptomatic infections haven’t been identified and that percentage is pushed close to 100%.

There has been just 1 COVID-19 death in all of Israel in the past 3.5 weeks. These stories are planted to make people afraid. It’s pure fearmongering. Israel is doing just fine, no matter how much the anti-vaxxers wish they weren’t. And if the Delta variant actually were presenting a serious problem in Israel, the anti-vaxxers would be dancing on those graves in celebration because being right is more important than the preservation of human life. Thankfully, they aren’t right. They never are.
