OK, it's not just Teslas that catch on fire...I bet the owner is glad the car wasn't charging inside his garage.

Government Motors basically saying, “If you like your car safety you can keep it.”

This guy’s car caught fire, and so contributed to Global Warming. It’s not that I want to, but I’m duty-bound to report this to you-know-who. (And trust me, Rep. Briglin. You won’t like Greta when she’s angry.)

I bet the owner is glad the car wasn't charging inside his garage.

He's well north of the 41st parallel. Wait till winter in Vomit.

His garage will go up like a Roman candle.  winking face

The dirty little secret that is just now coming out is when these battery operated cars catch fire it is impossible to extinguish the battery fire.

Couple months ago a tesla caught fire in Texas....the battery caught and the FD used 32 THOUSAND gallons of water and still had to just watch it burn itself out.

Not too good for the environment either I would think.

Tell me about the 38 GM gasoline cars that caught fire yesterday in the USA.

Because statistically, that is how many catch fire every day.

So is there a warning label to always leave them outside to charge? NOT IN THE GARAGE!

Right, very few fire departments have the foam that works better on those fires.

I wonder what the car insurance companies records show about these claims. If there are enough of them, insurance costs will go up for EVs.

When they burn they’re playing catchup to their ICE cousins in terms of emissions.

2010 incident—

Neil Young’s eco car blamed for warehouse blaze

Singer’s battery-powered vehicle linked to fire in storage facility, causing an estimated $1m in damage

“The car was plugged in to charge and left unattended,” Young wrote. “The wall charging system was not completely tested and had never been left unattended. A mistake was made. It was not the fault of the car.”

Where did you get that information? Did they catch fire from wrecks? Or just sitting in their driveways?
