That Twitter thread had a surprising lack of volume of the usual trolls and s**tposters. And the goofs that were on there didn't have any cogent responses other than the text equivalent of sticking fingers in the ears and repeating "lies lies lies".

The guy made a pretty good summation of the line of thought, IMHO. What does create a worry for the more intelligent denizens of the swamp is the knowledge that this thinking is among a large swath of the electorate. They aren't scared *yet*, but be sure they're scheming on how to wiggle out of this mess.
