I actually took a cruise to Cuba 3 years ago from Key West when the country was opening up slowly...
I found it mirrors what China was in the early days of Deng Xiao Ping — 2 Separate currencies — one for Cubans and one for foreigners, tourist guides with their colorful 1950’s and 60’s GM cars ( with refurbished engines ) driving you around Havana, charging a fixed fee where 90% is taken by the government and you pay the guide a “gratuity” that he gets to keep, People allowed to go to church and worship but you can’t evangelize openly, etc.
Havana is like a very beautiful woman who hasn’t gone to the beauty salon for years. Hair unkept, clothes shabby, no makeup, etc. But you can still see the natural beauty in her and cannot help wondering what would have been had she actually taken care of herself.
I see lots of potential for this country if she abandoned communism. All you have to do is look at how the Cuban Americans thrive in the USA to realize this.

The top floor of every bureaucracy in DC is now the same as the boardroom of colleges and universities.
The left implemented their plan long ago beginning with academia and Hollywood. They eventually took over corporate media. They own big tech like the CCP owns China. Then they began inserting their virus into our institutions located in DC.
They were very successful. However, the Obama administration took it to the next level within the IC and DOJ. They weaponized it.
