I hope and pray we see communism overthrown.
Many of us remember the events of 1989, when the Berlin Wall fell, and communism was overthrown in country after country in eastern Europe.
And two years later, the Soviet Union was dissolved.
This is another reminder, that communism is imposed by force, and communist governments stay in power by force.
Let’s hope and pray for the Cuban people.

I had a friend from Germany that had met her husband during the war. Her entire family were stuck in east Berlin. When the wall came down she cried and cried, because she had been unable to communicate for so many years.

Many of us remember the events of 1989, when the Berlin Wall fell, and communism was overthrown in country after country in eastern Europe.
And don't forget, the Tiananmen Square Massacre, while unsuccessful in China, served as an inspiration to the people of Eastern Europe. The Massacre, following months of protests in Beijing and other Chinese cities, culminated on June 4, 1989. The Iron Curtain between Hungary and Austria opened on August 19, 1989 followed by the Fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989. Many of the histories of 1989 neglect to mention the Tiananmen Square Massacre as a catalyst (for some reason).

That’s one reason why Tiananmen made many of us think that Communism was about to be finished off.
