The vast majority of Americans, think all blacks in Africa are the same, and that they don’t fight each other, they just think they all lived in peaceful co-existance with each other until the “evil” White Man came.

If only they had politicians like Maxine Waters or Ayanna Pressley to manage their grievances.

Oh, wait. They do. Never mind.

The longer Apartheid lasted, the worse things were going to be once Apartheid ended. That’s just the facts.

People also don't realize the end of the Soviet Union was the only thing which allowed Apartheid to end and attempts to be made at a new political power structure. As with El Salvador, Angola, Mozambique, a whole bunch of wars and revolutions suddenly "ended" when the Soviet Union collapsed.

The support the Soviet Union gave to various “liberation” movements, is what caused de-colonization to be such a botch.

The process of de-colonization, to work properly would have had to happen over the course of decades.

“No amount of unhappiness or personal circumstances from our people gives the right to anyone to loot, vandalise and do as they please and break the law,” Police Minister Bheki Cele told a news conference.”

I see he did not get the BLM newsletter.

"They'll just kill all the Whites, take their money and property, and complain that they are poor.

Someone once said, "If you want to know the future of The United States, look to South Africa."

After the whites are gone the remaining population will be back in mud huts and eating in the wild...

Some uprisings are simply riots to steal from stores, others are legitimate, like in Cuba. I believe the Cubans wasn't real reforms. They ALL could be earning living wages if they ousted the commies and became a legitimate tropical destination for tourists.

Yep. In Rhodesia they complained that the white farmers had all the good land so they ran them off or killed them and gave it to politically connected henchmen who didn’t know squat about farming and the country went from being Africa’s breadbasket to Africa’s begging bowl. The government saw that the people didn’t have enough money to buy the things they wanted so they just printed more money. At one point 1.4 trillion Zimbabwe dollars was worth $1 USD.

In South Africa you can legally get flame thrower attachments for your car.

I am not arguing for colonialism BUT under colonialism was the only time there was order and productivity in Africa.

When colonialism ended so did any semblance of progress and order. Everything quickly decayed.

Just saying. African self-government reminds me of when the Arabs took over Damascus in Lawrence of Arabia.

Basically the Brits and French walked away and said, "Good Luck!"

I read a recent piece by Jason Whitlock that had a line talking about the Marxists in America: “They hate the tree, but love the fruit”. Probably same thing in South Africa.

Be Africa: 600 million acres of arable land. 60% of the arable land in the world.

Starve.

Invade Europe and the US for food.

They had enough sense to know when they were not wanted and to see a losing battle of public opinion around the world. Colonialism became very unpopular around the world before and after WWII of course.

They sure had no reason to continue to heap their resources on a place that was no longer theirs so yes, they walked away and hardly said “Good Luck!”.

I know one thing for sure, the places were much better off before independence than after. Everything went to crap pretty soon after the powers left and so dis all sense of order.

Know how the Brits managed to convince such a huge population as India to let them lead? Order, draconian order and law where there had not been any before. It lasted for awhile until the Brits became the oppressor instead of the Raj.

If Ian Smith had been left in charge in Rhodesia, over time, blacks there would have had all their rights, and would have been able to live in a prosperous country, alongside whites. But things weren’t going to change overnight. The likes of Mugabe didn’t care about prosperity, they only wanted power.
