MSNBC military analyst Barry McCaffrey said Thursday on “Deadline” that while still in office, former President Donald Trump “was edging towards a coup” with strong parallels to the Nazis in 1930s Germany.
Discussing recent books about Trump’s final days, anchor Nicolle Wallace, “Shocking to read that the ex-president had an affinity for Hitler, in some ways just as stunning to see the top military commander saw his supporters and the threat they pose as a very clear parallel to the threat posed by Nazis.”

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. For the media, the liberal establishment, and, sadly, the top military brass, Donald Trump is like the “Emmanuel Goldstein” character in 1984. He’s a dangerous bogeyman that IngSoc “saved us” from. As such, we and our children must forever be taught to hate him and be ever so grateful to IngSoc for saving us from him.

What was he going to do, overthrow himself?
Maybe that’s something Biden could consider doing if he has any remnant shred of respect for the constitution he swore to uphold.
