Would a flaming bus contribute to global warming?

I wonder if the Media will be around to cover the “shelving” like they were to cover the “unveiling” ?

Our local news affiliate ran a story just last evening about the dangers of ev battery fires and how difficult they are to extinguish.

I knew that I had read about Proterra's electric busses earlier.
Philadelphia's electric bus fleet has disappeared (7.17.21)
Not only can the battery in Proterra busses not hold enough power for Philadelphia routes, but the batteries were so heavy that they cracked the bus chassies.
Unlike Trump, desparate Democrats do not do their homework before spending taxpayer dollars. Newsom's high speed train also comes to mind.
Corrections, insights welcome.

The battery is my company uses in its battery back up systems had their teeth cut in electric buses in Chinese cities
Take those batteries are pretty tough with the roads that they were under there?
Seriously though thermal runaway and with lithium batteries is a pretty crazy exciting and scary thing

Just add it to the list of flaming electric buses and cars. Places in Germany have banned electric cars from parking garages because so many have burst into flame. Burning electric buses have been common in Europe and China.

I hear they’re prohibiting recharging EVs while the power shortage persists. That should solve EV fires.

Yes, Proterra’s buses are a disaster in any city that bought them. Can’t handle routes, gets 30 miles per charge on flat routes, prone to breakdowns and the company is unresponsive to repairs or parts delivery. Biden pushed this company with praise to cities, and federal money. Another Biden mistake.

What’s left if they take the electric buses away ... ICE buses? My guess is to let the unwashed masses walk.
