The Russians did do solid on the final floor apparatus, so the overall win may not have been undeserved, but then one has to think about how the lowball scoring earlier might have impacted the Americans psychologically on that event and so on. It’s just the messiest women’s final I’ve ever seen.

Yup, I’ve always said that. Score more points or cross the finish line first or it’s not a “sport.”

Sports that depend on negative covid test results throughout the duration of competition isn’t Sport, because it puts the judges in the labs, overseeing all events.

For an amusing taking on gymnastics and judging, watch the movie, "Stick it". There is a double entendre intended...both the landing and the judging. A very entertaining movie. Real gymnasts including Nadia Comaneci along with some dolled up actress/gymnasts.

Agree. Get rid of half the events, like skateboarding, and all the flippy drippy stuff.
