We are in good company. George Washington, amongst others, warned about foreign military entanglements in his farewell address. Of course he also warned about giving allegiance to political party's. Having served in combat in one of these misadventures this topic when it comes up sends my blood pressure out the roof. I could go on a rant but that wouldn't help at all. Thank you.

My dad flew Phantoms out of Da Nang in 1970. The only thing he said repeatedly about that experience over the next 47 years, until his death, was, “They wouldn’t let us win.”
