I can’t say that’s entirely wrong, but blame Biden the Usurper. Even though he’s just an empty suit, he needs to be brought down. Pray for his downfall.

“Bush started it, Obama continued it, Trump tried to end it, and Biden just screwed the pooch completely.”

All true. If GWB had gone in, done the job, and left, it would have been a real accomplishment. Since he was convinced to do some nation building, it’s fair to give him the biggest part of the blame. But there is lots to go around.

Good synopsis. Trump would have done a better job if Cheney hadnt got in the way.

I know with certainty he would have left Bagram open to get people out.

Bush decided to nation build instead of just hitting them hard for harboring Bin Laden. It started out very successfully with the Horse Soldiers, but they moved in instead......and stayed.

Of course Dubya is responsible. And that is one of the reasons I left the R party about 16 years ago. But Biden’s handlers* are the ones that really screwed the pooch.

*Biden himself is not who did this. He is “their” puppet. We really need to find out who “they’ are and put the blame where it belongs. And it looks like “they” have put out the word to throw Joe and Kamala under the bus.

No country has been able to “solve the Afghan problem”. Not the USA, not the Russians , not the British.

The USA has “had a tiger by the tail” for 20 years.

Whether or not this was a good idea, or how to make the best of a very bad situation, will be debated by historians and armchair generals for a hundred years,

The current disaster is because Biden had no exit strategy.

He is feckless, Congress is useless and Gen. Milley, the “Perfumed Prince”, is worse than incompetent.

His nomination was one of Trump’s greatest failures.

Ok, it’s understandable that some don’t like Bush. Yes he had flaws but what was America supposed to do? More people were killed on 9/11 than at Pearl Harbor.

Would it have been better to simply let ourselves be brutalized? And what if it happened again and again? Just sit back and say we deserved to be treated that way?

They're right, in that Bush started it and turned it into a morass that it didn't have to be. But it ended the way it did because our government is completely broken. President is a demented fool. Military more worried about their “white rage” and gender pronouns than successfully prosecuting wars. An intelligence community that has illegally turned its focus inward, chasing “white supremacists” and other alleged violent extremists who dare voice dissent against the new woke orthodoxy. An lastly, a Department of Justice and FBI that has acquired an affinity for kicking in doors and holding people at gun point for what amounts to misdemeanor, or even nonexistent crimes.

I see they are changing the narrative on this hot potato! Bumbling dementia Joe should have already been pinned to the wall of impeachment hearings.

Bush started it, Obama continued it, Trump tried to end it, and Biden just screwed the pooch completely.

Good summary. I was listening to a YouTube podcast hosted by C.W. Lemoine with several pilot veterans from the U.S. Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force discussing the air war in Afghanistan, and they all said that the Rules of Engagement (ROE) changed dramatically when Obama came into office.

They said that in January 2009, JAG officers were briefing pilots on the new ROE, and they were effectively fighting with both hands tied behind their backs, and a lawyer waiting to pounce on a pilot that dropped ordnance that was less than perfectly targeted.

Interesting listen if you have the time to kill:

Biden (w/help from iman obamatollah) used the quick exit to hand the Taliban muzzoid terrorists upwards of $100+ million is US weapons.

The same obamatollah who gave the muzzoid terrorists in Iran billions in cash on a pallet in the middle of the night.
