This is even more despicable than the Saigon withdrawal in 1975. I lived most of my life thinking I'd never see that happen again. But, here we are, with an incompetent president, another Democrat Congress defunding the military and a Chief of Staff I wouldn't trust to command an Infantry Company. How many Americans and allies will die? Will we suffer another 10 years of no credibility to combat communist expansionism??? Was all that was accomplished in my lifetime amounting for nothing?

WHY?
Because the Taliban doing inept s##tpile Biden’s f’n job FOR his raggedy ass, and doing it 1000 times better and more thoroughly than he could ever hope to orchestrate in a bazillion years...and I mean right down to making sure any little kids don’t leave without their Barbies or teddy bears.
Because the Taliban standing the ENTIRE slate of world leaders on their ears by doing THE VERY LAST THING anyone would EVER dream of expecting from them is just TOO delicious.
THAT would be THE MOST EPIC “EFF THE RUDDY LOT OF YE” event in the entire history of this planet, and it’s an opportunity that I DEARLY HOPE Taliban leadership sees, and acts on.
They’d get 100 times more geopolitical capital doing that then they would keeping hostages.

I agree. Probably 99% of them. I would suspect all the diplomats and embassy staff are at the airport right now, if they haven't evacuated already. Others are probably government officials, university professors and the like with American citizenship because they probably had spent some time (or they had relatives who were born in USA).
Still. The American passport used to be worth something but President Joe Biden is not seeing it like that.
I would bet Foreign Legion. Stuff like this is right up their alley.

No doubt a good portion. But we built a Billion dollar embassy and that doesn’t get done by Afghans, even if they also have blue passports. We likely have other useless projects there too, with lots of REAL Americans working on them.
biden has abandoned Americans. This was in keeping with the agreement he made with the taliban. The Americans, now in the hands of the bearded savages, will be useful in bargaining later. 10 Americans for 1000 “refugees” to be settled in Oregon.
