Seems like a normal person might thing these helicopters woudl be useful for moving AMERICANS from some secured inner city location to the airport, like maybe the $770 million now abandoned embassy?
This affair is an intentional cluster fluck. It was done with malice and forethought. Someones need to fry for it. Resignations are not good enough.
I agree, we need to find the person who made the decision to leave the gear behing and put him in jail. Firing isn’t good enough.

Why not use these for moving people? I’ll bet a whole lot that it is because some nimrod thought it would look too much like Saigon.
