For the first time in my life I am ashamed of my country. From the first stories I read about this pull-out, I have asked two questions I'm still waiting for the media to ask the administration.
Who ordered the middle of the night evacuation?
Who gave the order to leave intact equipment (and now dog) behind?
If this wasn't a colossal blunder of military intelligence this was deliberate.

You can be sure the abandonment of these dogs will cause more outrage among Americans than the abandonment of Afghan Christian converts.
Just like the news that Soviet space dog Laika wouldn’t be coming back bothered many people more than the crushing of the Hungarian attempted revolution.
But people have a soft spot for dogs. Why those crates wouldn’t fit on one or more of our planes—I don’t know.
