Having deployed to Afghanistan under his administration and going to Iraq as a contractor I think the worst thing he did was turn everything over to the Radical Leftist Socialist Globalist in the State Dept and their friends at USAID. And yes, time has shown that he is the personification of the NWO, CFR, Globalist. But we were attacked and he unleashed the US military for a few months. Folks rallied.
I could type a very lengthy response from the Muslim apologist videos we had to watch in the name of multi culturalism, to driving these left wing schleps around Baghdad listening to their nonsense and watching them give the Iraqis anything they wanted.
But of course, they had the ability to leave the Green Zone without a PSD Team and as much as they hated us, they never went anywhere without us.
I have a pet theory that McCain fell in love with the image of himself as a maverick out of jealousy and the MSM feeding his ego after his loss and he would probably have been considerably more centrist and less leftwing than he was on the mainstream timeline if he’d been elected. Kind of how trump evolved into more of a conservative direction over time.

I was unimpressed. He could have simply said to the kids, “Excuse me.” and got up and quietly left to deal with the nation’s security.
Instead he put the nation’s security behind the precious feelings of a room full of grade school kids and reporters (pardon the redundancy).
Granted, it was a moment’s hesitation on his part but all the same if you’re CiC you don’t get the privilege of hesitation.
