HUNDREDS of fighters are reported to have died in bloody battles between the "Lion of Panjshir" resistance fighters and the Taliban as the terrorists attacked last free stronghold in Afghanistan.
Heavy fighting has been reported around the Panjshir Valley - an area just 80 miles north of Kabul that is regarded as an impenetrable natural fortress.
Casualty numbers remain uncertain on both sides - but it has been reported that the death toll is now in the hundreds as the bloodshed continues.
Resistance forces - officially titled the National Resistance Front (NRF) - have vowed to never surrender and fight to the last man as the Taliban attempt to take control of the last free bastion in Afghanistan.
Taliban officials had claimed the area had fallen - sparking wild celebrations in Kabul that left 17 people dead as fighters stupidly fired their guns into the air.
However, resistance sources have denied this and the valley is understood to still be standing against the Taliban....

Well, you know. The Taliban moderated.
Bloodbath...or, as Mayor Lightfoot calls it, weekend.
They do seem to like killing each other.
The Hazzaras of the Panjshir are Shias and would gain nothing, not even their lives, by giving in to the fanatic Sunni Taleban. The Hazzara were our first allies in the country and they with our CIA horse soldiers and access to Air support with pinpoint bombing swept the country, pushing the T’ban into Pakistan. A far better strategy than we ultimately employed would have been to stay allied with the Hazzara, support their rule however they ruled, and stay ensconced in Bagram, the most strategically useful and necessary military base in Asia. Islamic sects are unreformable and cannot exist as any sort of democrat society and their basic relationships with anyone outside of their sect is Convert, Enslave, or kill, with the emphasis in these times on Kill. It is basic to the religion. Islam is a totalitarianism that needs no secret police or terror from the top to keep the population in line. It is self sustaining in that if you are perceived to have strayed from some jot or tittle of the faith your neighbor and best friend can and likely will kill you with righteous impunity. There is no necessity for KGB or Tonton Macoutes. You are not “turned in.”
It is what the Mohammedans do best.

I think both sides are supplied with our weapons. All intended for the “Afghan Army”, which is a completely ironic term as there is no real nation of Afghanistan and they never were an actual army.

Actually according to the Indian news station the northern alliance is wreaking havoc on the tallybon and have killed about 300 of them.
Wait until they don’t correctly maintain said helos, and they drop from the sky.

The latest Indian TV reports are that the N Alliance blew up part of a mountain and have trapped about 1000 Taliban in the valley. Supposedly they have captured 184 armoured vehicles and killed 200-300 taliban. Somebody took video of the Taliban fleeing out of the area.
Indeed St Louis Los Angeles New York working to keep up.
Taliban have not yet learned, don’t hassle the Hazzari. By the very nature of their “religion” they will never learn. Becoming martyrs is as good as conquest to the individual Mohammedan.
