How about cell services?
5-G apparently requires massive amounts of power...
POWER many rural areas do not have...and are NOT going to get for many years.....IF EVER.
A T & T has shut down the prior cell service in anticipation of 5-G in a rural N Nevada valley with a decent population. They DO NOT have enough power to install/operate 5G. The people with A T & T cell service in that valley have NO service.
NO way to call for Sheriff’s deputies-—ambulance-—fire trucks, etc. NO EMERGENCY SERVICES....
When questions were raised-—Cell customer was told: KEEP PAYING YOUR $300 monthly bill & WHEN it all gets up & running, we will credit your account with all your payments.!!
Same person couldn’t say WHEN the work would be performed & the cell service would be up & running again. Person did say “THERE WAS NO WORK ORDER IN THE SCHEDULE’ to handle the problem. Just keep sending in your payments.
PUC cannot handle-—Cell services are ahead of the LEGISLATIVE curve-—PUC has NO AUTHORITY over cell services.
State Legislature has dropped the ball completely.
As a life long accounting person-—WHY would I pay for a service I am NOT receiving-—and that I could ‘apply to the account’ some unknown time in the future?????
