We Can't Go Bankrupt (Be afraid, be VERY afraid)
Twitter ^ | 09-11-2021 | Chairman of the Budget Committee Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY)

Posted on 09/11/2021 12:46:56 PM PDT by Oatka

“We are not broke as a nation.

We are not bankrupt.

We can’t go bankrupt.

We absolutely cannot go bankrupt because we have the power to create as much money as we need to spend to serve the American people,”

I think a 25 percent cut in social security would be a good start. Of course that won’t happen. Charge 500 a month for Medicare is helpful too. 144 dollars a month is embarrassingly low.

You are right, of course. But just let anyone run for office with that in the platform. It is darn brave just to post it here.

THE REASON hellholes like Haiti can't just 'print more money' to become wealthy is OTHER COUNTRIES DON'T TRUST THEM TO BE FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE. So they don't have reserve currency status...

What Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY) doesn't 'get' is when other countries feel the United States is acting like a third world hellhole they'll take our 'we can print money' privilege away from us. We'll stop being a reserve currency country and we won't be able to 'print extra money'...

It seems Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY) belongs in a third world hellhole - he thinks like they think... and like democrats here are starting to think.

What a fool.

The deeper problem is that there are no clean hands in the entire world.

All currencies would collapse and all of Homo Sapiens would devolve into cave men in a couple of generations....

It looks like some members of Congress are already there...

I suppose, since Twitter is technically a microblogging site, that this could go under the Bloggers category. But it’s still relevant.

Now please go back to tinkering with your Erector Set.

Could you repeat that please?

But more seriously, this man is probably one of the more dangerous people in Congress. He seems to think that repeatedly shaking the money tree will have no ill consequences.

Keynesians have never done that. Keynes weakly advocated that but the whole tenor of his economic philosophy was control of the economy by experts. So it was with Milton Friedman, too, but he thought it should be by smarter experts.

Kill all the sub-elite white people. The elite rulers and wannabe world dictators are all white and it will remain that way. Non white people are deemed easier to rule.

I have given thought to Idiocracy in recent weeks, and I'm pretty
much convinced the writer meant right now, not hundreds of years
from now. He just had to couch his words or be called a racist
or a cultural bigot.

Our national leaders are there now. Our judges are. The populace is.
Many of our state, county, regional, and city leaders are. Many of our
corporate leaders are.

It's as if the "Tower of Babble" confusion has been leveled upon
humanity again. This time it isn't language, it's the ability to
recognize evil, and deal with it rationally.

If you've got an IQ over 90, you're freakin Aristotle compared to
everyone else these days.

It makes sense.

Who in their right mind wants to be a political or corporate leader these days and deal with all the idiots?

Life is way too short for that garbage.

I am retired and kept a nice low profile my entire working life...I could have gone a different way but chose not to...

The last 'perfect person' who lived walked on water. The standard isn't 'clean hands' it's cleanest, cleaner, clean, not so clean, and filthy. But I get your drift...

"And this idiot is the Chairman of the Committee."

Spot on. This guy has been su$king Nanzi's hind teat from Day One, and yet not a single viable conservative with the warbucks to at least ruin this schnorrer has ever tried him.

TardMouth didn't just disrespect the Covington Catholic high school group, but personally condemned Nick Sandmann, even after it was revealed Nathan Phillips and his criminal record had crossed over the 50-yard-line on video to bait the kids.

This thread should be devoted solely to retiring this schvantz from Congress. Period.

That’s why I said “recent NOOBs”.

And “Bears watching.” was not specific to you;
I should have said “Bears considering.”

Our side is content to put their nose to the grindstone and
do good work for a decent sum.

Their side is in it to screw over everyone your side.

History is replete with identical scenarios where ordinary people were called ... my gosh, how many times did Rome recall retired Legio XYZ Corps? ... the Punic Wars! ... Napoleon returning from Elba ... The US opening a two-front war immediately after Pearl Harbor ... COVID is merely an opening salvo by the CCP in the Next War ...
