How the system works on paper is anything but scientific in real life when personalities and politics get involved. The FDA and CDC all but rubber stamped the Phizer vaccine, while impeded any research on using existing medications for prevention and early treatment. This is the same thing happened during the AIDS crisis in the 1980s and 1990s. AZT was pushed while getting medication to treat viral pneumonia that happned to AIDS patients was blocked. This is "regulatory capture" where those that profit the most control what government regulations are made. Doctors and patients rights to make informed decisions becomes secondary to CDC opinions that have the force of law.
The NIH and Fauci are the fear of hospitalization and death from Covid to force people to take the jab, while prevent any other option from being consider. Covid is the only disease were prevention and early treatment are being ignored as much as possible. This is completely unethical. Many people are refusing to take the shot out of civil disobedience, not anti-vax attitudes.

One of my relatives is a Doctor who has passed along that she can not file VAERS reports, at least for a while the system was shut down. Around 45% of the VAERS incident reports are for Covid vaccines in the last year. From what I understand 66% to 85% of the reports are from doctors and medical personnel. Two issues are that reports are raw incident reports, not final determinations. At the same time, it is believed that incidents are under-reported, so much so that perhaps only 1% of adverse incidents are reported at all. Others point out that people who die within 14 days of getting a shot are classified as unvaccinated, however I have some issues with this. If there are problems with the vaccines, it would be easy to mask them within the comorbidities and other possible causes of death.
Those are all reasons to bring the safety of the vaccines into question and deserves a real examination. Under the current administration is not going to happen anytime soon.
What is happening now, is exactly what happened during the AIDS crisis (the irony of that time coming back to haunt conservatives and everyone else is not lost on me either)

The Chairman of the Tokyo Medical Association has recommended Ivermectin to all COVID patients because of what is going on in Africa. While he is not part of the government, he is still the chair of a leading Japanese medical association. The facts he presented were that African nations that regularly use Ivermectin have roughly 1/7 the covid cases and 1/13 the deaths. Philipine President (elected dictator) Duterte has decided that the use of Ivermectin is between the doctor and patient. He is also pushing to get proper clinical studies moving on it. Meanwhile the CDC which knows better wants people to believe ivermectin is only for horses.

ICU nurses and politicians said the same about hospitals here. I went to one near me and sent others to other locations. They are lying. The places were damn near empty they said they were overflowing and having to treat people in the parking lot. All lies trying to usher in communism.

Yes, exactly as I said, the vaccine neither prevents Covid nor prevents the spread of Covid. The manufacturers state this.
I do stipulate that for some apparent short amount of time the vaccine does appear to mitigate the effects of Covid... except among those who were fully vaccinated and died from Covid.
Firing a bunch of nurses and doctors should really help, right?
